33 week appointment

Our baby girl is no longer breach and it is her constant need to kick me in the upper abdominal that has me feeling so comfortable. Let me tell you those are some big feet she has, I have the pictures to prove it! She is weighing in at a healthy 4.2 lbs. and her heart beat is strong and steady. What a great present for Grandma's birthday!

Yes it was I who said, "there is no more room," she found more room.

 I am also told the kicking will slow down because there is no more room , but again not the case for this baby girl, Just keep kicking away!

What an amazing shower, What a great time! I can't even express the difference a year makes. I have this awesome family at work and feel so lucky. It is so great to feel so welcome and wanted. I can't thank everyone enough. My little girl and I are so lucky!

Showers!!!!

I am so excited about my upcoming baby showers I can't even tell you! The girls at work are throwing me a shower tomorrow and they have already done so much, I am so grateful. This is my second year at Palatine and I can't believe the family I have here already, a lot in part to how great Dan is and how much he is loved. It really is a great feeling to have this type of support and real friendships. I made favors last night to thank the girls for coming. I got a baby bottle kit, filled it with chocolate pearls, and personalized the gift tags. They look like this.

I am also helping with the favors and games for my family/friends "Wine before the Whine" themed shower which should be a hit, I always have things up my sleeve!!! Again this wonderful party would not be possible without the help of my mom and closest friends. I hope my baby has friends like the ones I have. I have come to realize real friendships never die no matter happens. True friends are meant to be true friends, I think there is something in our souls that lets us know when things are right. I feel like I have everyone I need in my life at this time and I am so thankful for all of them. I also have my best friend Veronica back which just makes everything fall into place.

More babies

This week alone I just got word of 3 more pregnancies. Another one of my cousins and then family friends that are as close if not closer than family, so I should say another cousin. Could this be more awesome for family get togethers! Our baby is going to have so many friends her age and I am going to have a support group, it's a win-win!!

I can't wait to hear who is next, there are a lot of pregnant women out there!

I wonder what gender all these babies will be and what their names will be. Dan and I have her name all picked out. The funny part is that we knew what we were going to name the baby if it was a boy. We didn't really have any girl names at all and the first one we picked was the night before we found out it was a girl, so with that said I think she picked her own name. I can say it is not on the top 100 names of 2011 so anyone who had a guess will have to wait until March to find out. Stay posted...

OH POOH!

I fixed it. When push came to shove my Mom came up with some paint. She just so happened to have the lightest pink color known to man left over from a room in her home. She brought it over and I went to town. I sponge painted over my "sunburn" pink color and now I have a bedroom fit for only the littlest of princess. Not only is this a relief,  I feel like it could seriously be found in a magazine. I am so happy. This just took off a whole lot of pressure on both Daddy and me! Now her Pink Winnie the Pooh and Piglet bedroom is coming right along just dandy :)

Back to the drawing board

WELL.....we tried. But the pink paint is just not working. It's like a bad sunburn that you think after a little while starts to look better or at least that's what you hope, but that's just not the case. This weekend "Grandma" and I are going to hunt down the right color for baby's room which will be the farthest color from pink. We are also going to look at light fixtures to add the right light to our home. We will be doing can lights in the hallway and foyer, some new track lighting in the kitchen, and perhaps a fixture such as this for her new and improved room.

Pretty amazing, I know. I think I am starting to feel a little overwhelmed with things to do and a deadline on time, but it'll get done. I have some amazing times ahead including a baby shower from the girls at work in a few weeks and then another in February. After that I will begin to think where we are going to put everything. Oh did I mention after we went to register we found out how important microwaves are when it comes to having a baby so we got a new one. Check this out!

Now the stove doesn't match, LOL! On to the next project...
