Baby Shower Extraordinare!

WOW am I blessed! The shower was amazing! The Wine before the whine theme was GREAT and was so much fun. The gifts were out of this world! We got more than we could have ever imagined. I have the best family and friends a girl could have. I couldn't be more thankful for all I have. I had the best time! I am still excited to find out the winner of "guess the baby weight." She is going to be here soon, keep you posted!

36 weeks

We had our 36 week appointment and little did I know that the kicks I was feeling at some points were actually contractions! I was hooked up to a stress test machine and the Dr. said those are contractions. She also gave us the news that I am 1cm dilated. Our little one, is a little one... she is 5lbs. 6 oz but with 3D imagery we have already seen her heart (all 4 chambers), lungs, diaphragm, kidneys, her beautiful little face, nose, and lips...and again those feet that love to kick kick kick. It is amazing how much access we have to our little ones before they get here. It  looks like history will repeat itself and she too will be around my size of 7 lbs. (well 6lbs. 7 oz) but we will have to wait and see! I hope she stays in there to cook a little bit more before making her grand entrance. Love you baby!

UNCLE ERIC!!!!

Uncle Eric (Godfather Eric) not only has just been promoted but will permanently be within living distance with his new job for as long as we have to work or win the lottery which ever comes first. Can you believe we are all in the same school district now, crazy how fate works!

35.5 weeks

So Angela sent me an adorable pregnancy pic of her today (remember this is her 5th) and I sent her one back-- comparing sizes-- since we are both due in March. I sent her this pic...

All of my other pics I took with my phone in the mirror in our hallway. After she told me that in this picture my lower body and booty look small compared to my other pics, I will now be having Dan take all the reminder of the pictures rather than using self-portraits in the mirror. LOL

 Also my boobs are really not like that, my bra is undone and I am just moving it up. All in all it is a great reflection of exactly how I feel today and yes those are fresh paw prints on the floor! Getting closer!

WINE before the WHINE!!!

I am getting so excited for the baby shower!!!! I can't believe it is a little over 2 weeks away. I have put some homemade labels on some of the wine bottles, here is a sneak peak. I know wine themed baby showers aren't the norm, but this one should be off the charts!!!

SUPERBOWL

Here is what I did today while watching the Superbowl...

Bought on craigslist this morning

came with plain off-white lampshades

Tieing a bow is not easy... I need to tie in some red for the winnie the pooh theme

The lighting does not do justice and the lampshades are on without the bulbs

I have this hanging on a plant hook in the family room to work on it

there are crystals everything, although the lighting again makes it hard to see

There are white flowers and crystals almost everywhere...tomorrow I will add crystals strands to drape across...

I am so looking forward to hanging this fixture in her room!!! I think it is amazing, just like her!

OUCH

I have heard women say that pregnancy starts to become uncomfortable towards the end. I could only imagine being pregnant in the summer when it is 100 degrees and being uncomfortable. This pregnancy has been so good which makes me happy when I think of extending my family. However with the 19 lbs I have gained so far and the day that I just popped, I am starting to have uncomfortable times. Sleeping has been an issue for a while but since the baby has been growing the discomfort in my upper abdomen makes it uncomfortable to sit and for that matter today it just was all kind of uncomfortable. I have bought new clothes and some sports bras, but it seems like the bra fits one day and not the next. It is more of my girth changing then my cup size. I have been using my elliptical throughout but I think today I am going to take a break, a well deserved break as I see it. I am also going to go and invest in maternity bras since that is their specific purpose and hopes this gives me a sense of relief. At the last appointment the Dr. was thinking she would be around 8 lbs., on the 15th we will have a better estimate and also around 4 weeks to go. That is crazy! The countdown is here!
