On Monday we celebrated Sassy's birthday with the whole family out to dinner. Charli had such a great time you would have thought it was her birthday with all the presents Sassy brought her, and all the food she had to eat. Charli was such a wonderful addition to the conversation and the laughter. Happy Birthday Sassy, I know Charli was your favorite present ever!

10 months old
Charli is 10 months old today and we had our 10 month Doctor's appointment with Dr. Mike. Charli is 19lbs. 8oz, which is 50% percentile, 28" tall, 30% percentile and 20% for head circumference; she is following the curve "perfectly." She received a shot today and a clean bill of health. She also got the a-okay to eat whatever she wants from pancakes, to PB&J, to salami, to spaghetti and meatballs, we are talking REAL food--that is with the exception of seafood and honey until she is older...Sorry CRC you'll have to wait on the lobster tail!
At 10 months old Charli can stand on her own and walks around with the assistance of her toys, the couch, and anything else she can hang on to. She is a picture perfect crawler and is quick as can be. As we know she loves to stick out her tongue and she is definitely trying to configure words. She is full of expressions and sounds and has the best sense of humor. She also likes to stay up until around 8:45 and sleeps until we wake her up in the morning @ 7:15. She recognizes people she knows and assesses strangers and is able to communicate her likes and dislikes. She is very good with word association and has very precise fine motor skills. As for teeth, she won't be biting into any carrots yet. As for hair, she had her second hair cut over the weekend it grows like a weed, not a bad problem to have for a little girl :) Every day she gets more amazing! With that said our next chapter begins!

Jordanesque
So our little monkey is a little "Jordan Monk" who can't seem to keep her tongue in her mouth. If they had a Nike commercial for babies she would be the star. It's so funny she just curls her tongue up to the right side of her lip and continues on...and when I say continues on, she is getting close to walking on her own. I hate to say it but she is not a baby anymore, she is starting to become a "big girl"... well a little big girl. I tried to capture some shots today but with Charli I need a faster shutter-speed to keep up with her movements and expressions!

New Years in Texas
Mission accomplished: We taveled to Texas, Charli took her first plane ride, we made it to 2013, and we are back home safe and sound.
What a great time we had visiting Dan's best friend, Chad, his wife Bronya, and their beautiful family. The trip started aboard a United flight, on the new plane called the Dreamliner, not bad for Charli's first airplane ride on the nicest and fastest airplane in the sky. She was amazing on the plane both to and from Texas. I tried to schedule the flights so she would nap and sure enough for 65% of the flights she did, nice job Mom.
Chad and Bronya have an amazing home (everything IS bigger in Texas) and all the amenities for Charli since they have a daughter Kensie, 5 days other than CRC. She had plenty of toys to play with and not only a sidekick, but they have 2 sons who are as cute and sweet as can be. We hung out at their home for the majority of the trip which was so relaxing and catered with terrific eat,s that included Texas home-style bar-b-que, soooo good.
New Years Eve we had Chad's driver pick us up and take us towards downtown Houston were we had some dinner and drinks. We ended up heading back a little early, I think our spirits the night before had us dragging a little but it didn't stop us from keeping the new years celebrating until 3:30am. I think we finished close to 4 bottles of wine when we arrived home... I wish we had their nanny on New Years day, LOL!
We had such a wonderful time and they were the most gracious of hosts. We couldn't be more thankful for everything and can't wait for the next time! GO Texans!!
