Spring Break 2014 (The Real March Madness)

Being the coldest winter on record it was nice to get to Florida a few times. We had quite a spring break experience. We went to the beach, we went to Disney, we had an overnight stay in the hospital, we spent a morning in urgent care, we had to change our flight due to illness, and came home with not only 3 prescriptions but a nebulizer too. The weather conditions in the windy city coming home made for the scariest landing of all time. Have you ever had a pilot tell you 25 minutes before landing, "I promise everything is going to be okay!" We did and I think I wasn't the only one on the plane crying. When we did land he said "You can breathe now"-the plane erupted. That summed up our trip.

Charli had RSV and pneumonia and her asthmatic breathing reaction kept her in the hospital over night. She had breathing treatments which we refer to as "smokey" and she absolutely hates, to a steriod through an IV she ripped out, and oxygen in her nose that she would not allow. She received gifts in the hospital; a handmade blanket, two bears, one which was orange and named "Orangey." She was such a trooper. When we left the hospital she kept saying "poopy" although she was able to go...but the next 14 hours she said it probably 1000 times and she did not want to wear a diaper so I knew something else was wrong- we took her to urgent care and sure enough bladder infection. She was put on an antibiotic and within hours she was back. Holy poopy- it was a nightmare! Well it didn't end there, I got a wave of either the stomach flu or food poisoning and was down for the count, literally. Dan was able to switch our flight and we all stayed one more day to recover. When we got home Reilly ended up with a tick and an infection and River had a tumor on his foot that he underwent surgery to remove and then developed an infection in his foot and he got whatever Reilly had. It has been 3 weeks since the trip and finally I have two crazy dogs and a crazy 2 year old again, life couldn't be better.

On our way to Magic Kingdom and Epcot from the hotel, get the tickets!

The next day on our way to the ER...

Even with an IV she still entertained everyone in Sarasota Hospital, Charli and Orangey.

Extra out of order pictures from the most magical place on Earth.
