R&R

Instead of R&R standing for rest and relaxation in this house it stands for Reilly and River. It is no secret that they run the roost. Dan came home on lunch last week and they had 2 cushions out on the floor. Reilly the Queen was on one cushion eating a bag of Donkey chips and River the King was on the other one eating a loaf of rye bread. Let's just say this wasn't the first time but I surely hope it will be the last.

How nice is this...???? Yesterday I received a hand written letter from Meredith Vieira from Millionaire thanking me for being a contestant. She also wished us luck with the baby and made reference to a joke I cracked on the show. I said if I won the million and was having a boy I'd name him Regis and a girl Meredith. She replied Meredith could be a boy or girl's name :) She reminded me of that in her card! How cool is that!!! She is so nice!!This baby is already known by a celebrity!!! Awesome!

Winner!!!!

A few weeks back Dan, Uncle Eric, and I traveled to the Long Grove fest. (Ok we drove about 10 minutes) We went to the annual Apple fest with the thousands of other people. We got apple donuts, apple cider, apple butter, chocolate covered cheesecake, chocolate covered banana and many other tasty treats, yes chocolate covered cheesecake---AMAZING! There were all kinds of food vendors, music stages, games, and of course giveaways. One giveaway was from the Walt Disney Timeshare Resorts. It was a Disney gift basket with a great big Mickey Mouse stuffed animal in the middle. I told Dan I wanted to go fill out an entry which he discouraged and Uncle Eric encouraged. Well I listened to Uncle Eric and last week they called to let me know I won the basket!!! Here I am at the Timeshare office at Woodfield picking up the basket, they told me to take a picture in front of Goofy.

                                                      

We have everything we need in that basket for our next trip to Disney, EXCEPT the free trip!

MILLIONAIRE

The baby to be, Dan, and I took a return trip to NEW YORK for two days this week as I was a contestant on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire!!! What an experience I can't believe it really happened! I received a phone call a few weeks back asking if I could come out and tape on the 4th and 5th and that is what we did. I have to say it was surreal and since I haven't hardly slept this week it is even more surreal.

I took this the first morning I was in the studio I didn't tape until the second day.

We went to the Doctor today and I asked him about pregnancy brain and he told me that women's brain's actually get 7% small during pregnancy which leads to memory loss and confusion not the greatest assets on a trivia game show, but I am glad I had the baby as my teammate during the nervousness! I had a terrific time, and a once in a lifetime experience. I can only imagine what life will throw at me next! Going to the last taping of The Oprah Show and a contestant on Millionaire within the same 6 months, what is going to top that??? Whatever it is, bring it on... Please!

BTW Meredith Viera is AMAZING, she couldn't have been more kind and real. The entire crew was AMAZING, I can't even believe it happened to me! Even more, the girls in my office decorated my desk when I returned that said "Palatine's own Millionaire". How awesome, I loved it!

I've been thinking since I am due on St. Patrick's Day maybe I have my own lil' lucky charm!! Love you baby
